Can I join SolarServe if my system was installed by another company other than IEH?
Yes. Every SolarServe plan is open to any Oahu or Maui homeowner regardless of who originally installed the system, including systems from installers that have closed or stopped servicing Hawaii. New members start with a baseline Solar Check-Up so we know the condition of your array before we begin ongoing service.
How is SolarServe priced and billed?
SolarServe runs on a simple annual membership. Lite is $399 per year, Standard is $499 per year, the Check-Up + Standard Bundle is $899 in year one then $499 per year thereafter, and Premium is $1,199 per year. The one-time Check-Up is $799 with no membership commitment. Memberships auto-renew annually and you can cancel before the next renewal at any time.
What is the difference between Lit, Standard, and Premium?
Lite covers an annual panel wash plus priority scheduling and member pricing on add-on work. Standard adds an annual Solar Check-Up, system monitoring, remote troubleshooting, 10% off repairs, and 2-business-day support response. Premium doubles the visits (two Check-Ups and two washes per year), increases the repair discount to 15%, adds priority scheduling, and tightens the support window to 12 hours.
What is included in the annual site visit and panel cleaning?
Our technicians perform a full visual and electrical inspection of your panels, racking, wiring, inverter(s), and monitoring, then soft-wash your panels to remove salt, vog, red dirt, pollen, and bird soiling. You receive a written photo report with production benchmarks and any recommended corrective work. Standard members get one visit per year. Premium members get two visits per year.
Are repair parts and labor included in my membership?
Membership covers the recurring service work in your plan (cleaning, inspection, monitoring, remote troubleshooting, and triage). Replacement parts (inverters, optimizers, microinverters, batteries, wiring) and on-site repair labor are billed separately at member pricing: 10% off for Standard and Bundle members, 15% off for Premium members.
What does proactive performance management mean for members?
It means we actively review your system’s production trends inside the IEH portal, not just wait for fault alerts. Subtle drops in output, panel-level underperformance, or shading and soiling patterns get flagged early so we can address them before you lose meaningful production.
How quickly will IEH respond if my system goes down?
Standard and Bundle members get a dedicated support response within 2 business days. Premium members get a response within 12 hours and move to the front of the scheduling queue for any on-site work.
What equipment does SolarServe cover?
Every membership covers every major panel, inverter, optimizer, microinverter, and battery brand installed in Hawaii, including Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, SolarEdge, SMA, SunPower, LG, Generac, FranklinWH, Sonnen, and most discontinued or legacy systems.
Does the $799 Check-Up roll into a membership?
Yes. If you upgrade to any SolarServe membership within 90 days of your Check-Up, we apply the Check-Up fee as a credit against your first year of membership. The Check-Up + Standard Bundle bakes this in automatically at $899 for year one.
Can I cancel my SolarServe membership?
Yes. Memberships auto-renew annually and you can cancel before your next renewal at any time. Reach out to our service team and we will take care of it.
