Choose your planOngoing service starts with your installation
Every new IEH installation includes the first year of SolarServe Standard, normally $499/year: an annual Solar Check-Up and panel wash, monitoring, troubleshooting, 10% off repairs and 5% off add-ons. Ongoing membership after the included year is separate. Most installers don't include ongoing service. We do.
A standalone Solar Check-Up is $799, with a written report within 72 hours after the visit. If you join after your Check-Up, the $799 is credited under the membership terms. Oahu a la carte panel washing costs $450-$750. Twice-yearly washing is recommended for most homes.
Vog, dust and salt: caring for Hawaii solar panels
Vog, dust and salt can lower solar production over time. We recommend panel washing twice a year, more often near the ocean or coast. Cleaning needs depend on your property and exposure; production changes vary by system and conditions.
Vog is especially relevant on the Big Island. Maui and Oahu can also periodically experience vog during Kona winds, when winds shift away from the usual northeast trades and can carry volcanic haze toward the other islands.
